Grandparent's Day

We had such an enjoyable day! Such a huge turnout, my room was bursting with grandparents. I actually came up with an idea for social studies. I had the grandparents make a timeline for their grandchild and discuss events that happened through their life. It was amazing! So many unique stories.

Science-Motion Roller Coasters

I just thought that this was such a cute and inexpensive idea. In our science program, the students learn about motion. My husband gave me a great idea to use tubing and beads to make roller coasters. I had the students use the scientific process and it was amazing. They were very creative and even put in loops!

Finally an amateur blogster!!

Yes, I did it! I have been trying for months now to figure out how to download pictures from my phone. I spent many hours trying to figure it out and now thanks to my husband, I can do it! (Too bad he didn't tell me sooner!) I am still slowly figuring out how to get my site to look at least halfway descent so bare with me.

These pirate stories were adorable. So sorry that you can't really see what the student wrote. I was so proud of them. I would like to publish them online. Does anyone know a website where I can do this? I had been to one months ago and cannot remember the name.

Pirate ar Unit

I was only going to do this unit with ar for a few days. My students got so involved with it that I had to get creative and find other pirate activities for them.

The students wrote about where they would go if they had ruby slippers or sneakers.
