Superexcited to try my hand at finally blogging on this little, abandoned blog!! Haha! Anyways I have been attempting to create a new blog for my fellow teachers to share what we do in our K-2 building.  Man oh man is it going slow! The new blog is www.teachershavinablast.blogspot.com.  Come visit us!  It is definitely in the very early stages but I am confident it will get better.  I have also been working hard on my pinterest board, come check it out https://www.pinterest.com/fantastic1grade/ .  I have found a ton of resources and am ecstatic to see that others have been pinning my finds!!!  I can't wait to share with you all tomorrow what I've been doing in my classroom.  Until then people that live in Ohio like me, stay warm!!

First post in a looonnnggg while!!!

Ok so I am going to once AGAIN attempt to become part of the Blogger world.  I am so jealous of how gorgeous the blogs look and want to try and learn how to become a better blogger.  So here goes nothing!!Haha!!
I want to first start with a new app that I found on Mrs. Samuelson's Swamp Frogs. Plickers is an amazing free app that will be a great way to quickly assess my first graders.  Please visit her site because I was blown away.
By the way now that I am going to attempt to blog more, I want to get some class pictures up.  I've been working really hard on finally getting my classroom setup exactly how I want it!

Here ok that only took me about forty minutes to figure out. I think I did it right. Yeah me!

Back from the dead

Ok, so I haven't blogged in over a year. That's just downright shameful. So I have decided attempt number two at blogging. Praying that this will go better this year. There are so many giveaways right now and I am supposed to blog about them but am trying to figure out how to link. So I am going to time myself and see how long this will take. Here goes. Grandparent's Day

We had such an enjoyable day! Such a huge turnout, my room was bursting with grandparents. I actually came up with an idea for social studies. I had the grandparents make a timeline for their grandchild and discuss events that happened through their life. It was amazing! So many unique stories.
