Find me on periscope @fantastic1stgr!  Trust me, you will be glad once you download the app.  I’ve already learned soooo much!!!  I’m telling you CHECK IT OUT!!! #periscopeteachers  I've only done a few scopes myself because it is hard looking at yourself and hearing your voice!  I'm sure that it will just take some time to get used to!

We are CAMPING at the lake!  We have been cAMPING FOR YEARS!  THIS YEAR WE WILL BE AT THE LAKE FOR ONE WHOLE MONTH!  WE HAVE EVEN CAMPED FOR THREE MONTHS!  I STARTED SCHOOL WHILE WE WERE STILL CAMPING!  IT WAS SOMEWHAT ROUGH.  BUT MY KIDS JUST LOVE CAMPING!

THE #DEALS THAT I FOUND WHILE OUT AND ABOUT.

I WENT TO OFFICE DEPOT AND FOUND TONS OF TEACHER SUPPLIES IN THE CLEARANCE CARTS!!! I MOSTLY PAID 50 CENTS FOR EACH ITEM!!! WHAT A STEAL!

I had a friend contact me about a yard sale.  She found all of these BIG BOOKS for me!  I only paid $20!!!!!!  Be jelly!!!!  There were around 30 of them!!!  Those books are sooo expensive!! I am over the moon that I was able to snag these.  Have you ever seen a deal like this?

Yesterday was my anniversary!!!!

 ThAT'S RIGHT!!! I HAVE been married for 21 years!!!! My husband is AWESOME and I love him more and more everyday!  Now the sad part about are anniversary is that we had to spend half the day in college orientation for our daughter!  The first speaker was good but the second speaker gave us the same information!  I was not HAPPY about that!  Then we find out they charge us for orientation!!!!!  Are you serious!!!! COLLEGE expenses are unreal!!!!

I just watched a scope about #WBT and now I'm going to explore what in the world POWER PIX is and if it would be a great tool for me to use this year!  I heard that our superintendent wants us to go 

PAPERLESS!!! I am a little concerned that this is going to cause even more distress for us!  I am hoping POWER PIX may just be one of the tools I could use to help with going paperless. If anyone out here has any tips or ideas that I could use!   Please help this girlie out!  Yes, I do use Daily 5 but I know that this will not be enough!!!

PERISCOPE The NEXT Best Thing for Teachers

First of All Let me start off by stating how envious I am of all of you that went to vegas!!! I am excited though because my awesome husband said if he knew the TPT conference was going on, he would’ve found a way for me to go.  Yep, he’s a keeper!!! Next Year, I will be there!!!

While I was stalking Instagram, I noticed some teachers mentioning periscope and I was curious.  Let me tell you, I am in love.

STINKY FEET

STINKY FEET is something I stumbled upon while on Pinterest.  Alyssa from FourthGradeRAcers wrote about it and I was instantly excited. Here’s a Picture from her blog.

you can check out how she uses this review game on her blog FourthGradeRAcers.  Her version is not tailored for Firsties, so I thought of how we could adapt it to fit our class needs.

I love how versatile this could be.  You can use this game with anything you are teaching.  I think it could also be a perfect #FIP activity.  The students would be engaged the whole time.  

Anyways, Alyssa writes numbers on the back of the post-its and students pick post-its when they get an answer correct.  They receive positive or negative points.  I think that we could use whichever team makes it to ten wins.  I also think you could just use tally marks too.  This would be a great review for math and ELA at the same time.  WooHoo!!!!   I can't wait to make my own "STAnky Foot"!!!!

It's going to be a JUNGLE this year in my classroom!!!

I have decided to take on the jungle and take my students on

many adventures through Africa and Asia as we begin to learn 

about ELEPHANTS!  

I have created a new product in my TPT store that took me a long while to complete.  You see I have a love/hate relationship with my computer.  Many of you are great at using your MACs, where I have never used a Mac in my life!  I've had this computer for about six months and every time I mess with it, I get frustrated.  Seriously folks, I am the first person in my household to use a MAC and no one can help me when I get stuck!  Wait, it gets worse, I live in the country and have limited access to internet.  So, when my family of 5 uses up the data, our internet is slowed down!!!!  Let me tell you, this takes sooooo

much patience.  But I conquered and know that this is a small victory! Click on the picture below to check out this great Close Read!
